Compensation:

$18 - $22/hr

Responsibilities: Establish a system of food stations and stock them with all of the necessary ingredients for the shift Keep all workstations, counters, cooking equipment, and refrigerators clean and sanitary according to health and safety rules Demonstrate professional and pleasant demeanor when interacting with visitors, vendors, and associates Cook food orders at stations by following established recipes and presentation standards for grilling, broiling, and saut?ing menu items Adhere to established storage and waste control standards for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products to ensure quality food is served Consistently providing quality food preparation, service, organization, and cleanliness, adhering to DOH and Fairlane Hotel StandardsProviding speed, accuracy, and efficiency in a fast-paced environmentCleaning and maintaining kitchen, prep and dish areas, and equipmentUnderstanding and proper use of recipes and kitchen equipmentFlexibility in executing the varying event and seasonal menusAdhere to established storage and waste control standards for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products to ensure quality food is servedCook food orders at stations by following established recipes and presentation standards for flat-top, oven, and toaster cooking methodsSet up cooking stations and fill them with all of the essential preparation items for a shiftDemonstrate a professional and pleasant demeanor when interacting with visitors, vendors, and associatesCan work safely and neatly among professional-grade kitchen utensils i.e., knives, etc. as well as hot surfaces i.e., grill tops, stove tops, ovens, etc. in an occasionally above-average temperature settingResponsabilidades:Proporcionar constantemente preparaci?n de alimentos, servicio, organizaci?n y limpieza de calidad, cumpliendo con los est?ndares del DOH y Fairlane HotelProporcionar velocidad, precisi?n y eficiencia en un entorno aceleradoLimpieza y mantenimiento de las ?reas y equipos de cocina, preparaci?n y vajillaComprensi?n y uso adecuado de recetas y equipos de cocinaFlexibilidad en la ejecuci?n de distintos men?s de eventos y de temporadaCumplir con los est?ndares establecidos de almacenamiento y control de desechos para carnes, verduras, frutas, y productos l?cteos para garantizar que se sirvan alimentos de calidadCocine los pedidos de comida en las estaciones siguiendo recetas establecidas y est?ndares de presentaci?n para m?todos de cocci?n con superficie plana, horno y tostadoraConfigure estaciones de cocina y ll?nelas con todos los elementos de preparaci?n esenciales para un turnoDemostrar una conducta profesional y agradable al interactuar con los visitantes proveedores y asociadosPuede trabajar de forma segura y ordenada entre utensilios de cocina de calidad profesional, es decir, cuchillos, etc, as? como superficies calientes, es decir, parrillas, estufas, hornos, etc., en ocasiones por encima del promedio Ajuste de temperatura Qualifications: Ability to understand and comply with kitchen sanitation, safety and equipment usage, and food storage Must be a hard worker with high attention to detail and have a strong work ethic Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers Prior food service industry experience is highly desired Possess a high school diploma or equivalent GED certification 2+ years of cooking experience preferredClear and polite communication skills with a positive attitudeCandidates must be hardworking, detail-oriented, and have a strong work ethicPrevious experience working in food service is preferredMust be able to meet all operational, safety, and sanitation requirements of kitchen equipment and food storageMust have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers About Company
